Geography of Latin America
Dr. Dawn S. Bowen

This course provides an overview of the dynamic region of Latin America and the Caribbean. We consider economic, political, and social conditions and their impact on the lands and the peoples of this region. Although this is a course in regional geography, it is not possible to examine every country and every island; I take a thematic approach, and incorporate different places into the discussion of process. The class is writing intensive, and students are required to prepare several writing assignments.
