				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Members of the 2011 UMW South Africa Study Abroad Program have just <a href="http://www.regionalgeography.org/southafrica2011/">posted their reflections on the Program</a> and on South Africa. If you&#8217;re thinking of joining out 2012 group, please <a href="http://www.regionalgeography.org/southafrica2011/">take a look </a>at what they have written. It will give you some idea of the kind of issues we will examine, and the places we will visit, in 2012.</p>
<p>We are now finalizing arrangements for our 2012 Program, which will take place from <strong>May 14 &#8211; June 4, 2012</strong>. Details will be posted here as and when they become available.</p>

<p>The 2011 UMW South Africa Study Abroad began last Friday morning, July 29, when members of the group arrived in Johannesburg.  We immediately set off for Pilanesberg Game Reserve in Northwest Province, where we spent the weekend. We are now in Johannesburg, and will be here for about a week.</p>
<p>During our travels in South Africa, members of the group will post some of their thoughts, impressions, and observations of South Africa on this site. So please come back here often, and join us on our travels!</p>

<p>For three weeks in August 2011, a small group of students and faculty members from the University of Mary Washington will visit South Africa. This purpose of this website is to provide information for participants in the program, and well as for those who are thinking of signing up.</p>
<p>On this site you will find a description of the Program and its objectives, information about how to sign up, answers to frequently asked questions, and more.</p>
