Assignments
The purpose of couse assignments is to give you some practice in thinking geographically, applying the knowledge and understanding you have acquired from class and the readings, and finding, interpreting and making use of data and information from various published sources. This means that in the assignments you will usually find questions that do not deal directly with material you have read about or learned about in class, but instead require you to apply your geographic knowledge and skills in figuring out the answers. I hope that you will find the assignments both helpful and enjoyable.
Assignments will usually be posted on Blackboard, and you will normally have two days or so to complete them. All assignments are open-book, and you may use any sources of information you wish in completing them. You may not, however, work on the assignment with anyone else. By submitting any assignment you are indicating that you have completed it accordance with the Honor Code.
